Our Safe Environment Program has changed VIRTUS
The Diocese of Fort Worth requires all adults who will be involved in ministry to satisfactorily pass a criminal background check, complete a Safe Environment training, and agree to the Code of Conduct every two years. Effective August 1, 2018 the process for all volunteers – both those who are newly volunteering and those who need to renew their training – will be done online through a new program called VIRTUS. To become a volunteer or to renew your training login to the VIRTUS website at www.fwdioc.org/safe-environment.
New volunteers and current (renewing) volunteers will need to create a new user profile – it is important that user profile information is accurate – especially email addresses.
Users will not be able to share email addresses, each user must have a unique email to protect the security of their information. If users do have a “shared” e-mail address (such as a family), contact the Safe and Sacred’s customer service or tech support personnel – as nobody else will have access to that user login information. Future notices of pending expiration of training and criminal background checks will be sent directly to the individual user’s email address.
If you have already taken a class and have question regarding this please contact the Safe Environment Coordinator Michael Ruelas at [email protected]
